What is Offset Printing ?

Offset printing is a technique whereby ink is distributed onto a metal plate with etched images, then transferred to an intermediary surface such as a rubber blanket and then finally applied to paper by pressing the paper against the intermediary surface. The offset printing process is used to produce high quality printed material with larger quantities. Initial set-up costs are relatively high in comparison to digital printing however the print process is very cost effective for mid to high volumes.
